Home 9 Org Updates 9 12 Days Left: Why we vote

In 12 days, your neighbors and community are counting on you to vote. There is so much at stake in this election.

Why are we voting on November 5th? 👇🏾

Be prepared to vote.

How will you prepare this week to vote?

  • Mark your calendars and make your plan. The election is on Tuesday, November 5 and polls are open from 7am-8pm. If you are scheduled to work, your employer is required by law to allow you time off to vote on election day. Talk to them this week to confirm and make your plan (or vote early if you can! learn more about early voting here.)
  • Get your photo ID ready.
  • Have you voted at your current address? If not, you will need to bring proof of residence to your polling location. Some examples include a copy of your current lease, a utility bill, a bank or credit card statement, an intake document from a nursing home or homeless shelter, and many others. See the full list of proof of residence options here.

PS – Let’s triple the vote. You can be a leader in your community. Will you take a few minutes to encourage three friends or family members to be voters?
