In a world where conflict and violence is tragically claiming the lives of innocent children, it is more important than ever to come together as a community to celebrate and protect our children. On May 4th, children, families, and partners came together to celebrate Día de los Niños, also known as Children’s Day. In addition to celebrating children, this was a reminder of the vital role we play in nurturing, supporting, and standing up for the rights and well-being of all children.

Día de los Niños is a testament to the strength of our diverse community. With the support of local vendors and our partners, this event hosted over 200 attendees. This was a day that recognized the cultural tapestry enriching our lives, while teaching our children the values of inclusivity and respect for all people. In these challenging times, when war and hatred threatens the innocence of our children and youth, we must reaffirm our commitment to fostering an environment where every child can thrive in peace and security.

As we came together to share food, traditions, and joyful moments, we demonstrated to children the importance of empathy and solidarity in the face of adversity. This event sent a powerful statement of unity, love, and resilience among children and families in our communities. We are immensely grateful for all our partners, vendors, and volunteers who made this event possible; and of course, thank you to all the children and families who participated in the celebration.

Let us use this occasion to remind ourselves and our children that every child has the right to grow up in a world free from fear and oppression. Thank you for joining us in this important celebration. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for our children, where love and humanity triumph over hatred and division.
