Home 9 Health Care 9 DHS Says State Is on Track to Close Medicaid Deficit ( Page 11 )

A quarterly report released late on Friday by the Department of Health Services provides both good and bad news about Wisconsin’s Medicaid budget. At first blush, the numbers look worse than the deficit figures in the last quarterly report, but that’s before the cost-cutting initiatives are taken into account. When those are factored into the equation, DHS says that they are on course to remain within the level of funding budgeted for Medicaid and BadgerCare.

A new Wisconsin Budget Project Blog post takes a closer look at the updated figures.
