Amid all the issues going on in Washington, it was good news that the House Education and Labor Committee held a hearing on April 21 on issues identified in the JJDPA reauthorizaton bill. So, while reauthorization poses some problems for compliance in Wisconsin (see the January/February WisKids Journal), overall the fact that the discussion is continuing is positive.

This process of destabilization not only prevents children from having a strong start but can persist over the course of their lives.
