The regular 2011-12 legislative session ended in March, and it looks very unlikely now that legislators will come back anytime in the next few months for a special session.  That makes it a good time to take stock of what happened to various bills introduced this session.  Today we posted on our website an overview of most of the noteworthy bills relating to health and health care.
This 4-page document includes a couple of pages regarding the health-related bills that have been approved by both houses of the Legislature (some of which are still awaiting the Governor’s signature), and two pages summarizing the legislation that didn’t make it through the Legislature and must be reintroduced to be considered next session.  It includes links to the official, detailed bill history for each piece of legislation, and in some cases also provides links to background information produced by other organizations.
Yesterday WCCF also posted online a brief summary of all the different bills that WCCF took a position on – our 2011-12 Legislative Session  Wrap-Up.  It considers kids and families issues broadly, so it isn’t limited to health-related legislation.
