Are you like us – still looking for more information on the approved changes to BadgerCare? If so, check out the Q&A we released today! It has great information on some of the basic questions – such as who will be affected, how, and when.

The changes to BadgerCare that begin this year will affect adults over 133% of the federal poverty level (Want to know what that income level is? The Q&A has the answer!), but not children, pregnant women, or the disabled. According to the WI Department of Health Services (DHS), about 48,000 adults are expected to have higher BadgerCare premiums, with at least 17,000 adults losing their BadgerCare coverage. The Q&A goes through some family examples of the costs of the new premiums, as well as how other changes may play out for Wisconsin families. In many ways, the Q&A expands on the 2-page overview we released last week.
