Video text below.

For over 140 years, we have stood alongside our communities, championing the rights and opportunities of children and families who are furthest from equity. Now, in the aftermath of this pivotal election, we acknowledge the complex emotions—fear, anxiety, hope, and uncertainty—that resonate throughout our communities.

At this moment, we recognize that many among us may not feel safe, seen, or valued.

The election results may have deepened divisions for some while sparking cautious hope for others. Regardless of where you stand, we affirm that your feelings are valid, and we are here, standing with you.

Our commitment to a multiracial democracy remains unwavering.

Regardless of the election’s outcome, our dedication to justice, equity, and opportunity for all will not falter. Our values are steadfast, rooted in a legacy of resilience and collective action. We are here to uplift those furthest from opportunity and to amplify marginalized voices, knowing that true change transcends any single election.

Now is a time for both discernment and action—a time to hold space for one another, to listen deeply, and to reflect on the path forward.

We believe that healing and progress will not come from rushing to mend every wound but from uniting across divides to build the future we all deserve. This moment calls on us to strengthen alliances across communities and life experiences, recognizing that the challenges we face demand unity beyond partisan lines.

In this spirit, we invite you to join us in confronting divisive narratives by engaging in open dialogue within our communities.

Our intention is to foster understanding, resilience, and unity by creating spaces where all voices can be heard.

We understand that true change requires long-term strategies centered on community strength, shared prosperity, racial equity, and meaningful structural transformation.

We also acknowledge the emotional toll that advocacy and continuous civic engagement can take. For those feeling weary, anxious, or disheartened, we offer resources for mental well-being, including art, music, and poetry that inspire and provide comfort. These resources remind us of the power of creativity and expression to sustain our spirits.

Our ancestors faced immense challenges with courage, patience, and determination. In honoring their legacy, we are reminded that resilience lies not only in action but also in the still spaces of belonging we hold for each other.  They understood that right action requires a moment of stillness—a “waiting for it” before the path becomes clear.

Your voice matters. Your efforts matter.

Together, we can create a future where every person feels valued, heard, and empowered.

Join us. Stand with us.  Fight with us.

Join us to build a Wisconsin where every child and family thrives.
