Wisconsin was ranked 6th in the nation for 4-year-olds enrolled in prekindergarten programs in 2015, according to the annual The State of Preschool 2015, released by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER). The report showed that 71.7% of Wisconsin’s 4-year-olds were enrolled in prekindergarten, including 4-year-old Kindergarten (63%), Head Start (7%), or special education (1%).
